A word from the skipper—
Hello all, I’m Tony the owner and main skipper of our vessel, Julie-Ann, at North Coast Sea Tours Lochinver.
I’m a local man, growing up on the shores of Lochinver from a young age. Sadly, for a short spell, I had to move away from the area due to family and work commitments but am now back, sailing some of the best seas in Scotland and giving people the best experience possible.
I have many years of sea-going experience: 40+ years on the west and east coasts of Scotland, fishing/trawling in my younger days, then anchor mooring works, and now passenger boats— I’ve nowadays taken a slightly easier path in life.
I know the seas around Lochinver very well, some would say like the back of my hand, so when you step aboard, you’re in safe hands.
Our boat
On our boat trips, you will travel in our new boat, Julie-Ann, a twin-engined (218 hp each) catamaran, built by South Cat. Julie-Ann has indoor seating in a heated cabin as well as outdoor seating for 12 passengers. She also has an on-board toilet.
As a catamaran, Julie-Ann has a great amount of outside deck space which is perfect for wildlife spotting and sea angling in comfort. She is also very stable, being 4.7 metres wide and 10 metres in length.
She is fully coded and surveyed to the most modern health and safety standards by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and the Royal Yachting Association (RYA).

You’ll need to bring your camera!
Aboard our boat, you’ll experience breathtaking views, uninhabited islands, and wildlife which will leave you speechless.
All the photos on this website were taken aboard our boats by our crew, with a few kindly contributed by our passengers.
