Footwear suitable for walking is a good choice. If joining us for a landing trip please assume ground can be uneven, steep, soft and wet underfoot. Warm waterproof clothing (jacket, trousers, and footwear) to wear on board the boat to enjoy views from the rear deck during the journey, which may be wet from sea spray.

Unless stated otherwise in your joining instructions, passengers require to be self-sufficient for food and drink and require to bring their own food and drink.

There is a toilet on board the boat in which you will travel, however we recommend use toilets ashore prior to departure. Public toilet facilities are located close to our departure point and toilets are also available in Kylesku Hotel.

We indicate that a requirement for travellers is to be independently mobile with a reasonable level of agility. We have categorised each of our trips with a ‘Difficulty’ rating. Please see our ‘Difficulty rating’ guide.

Although we have minimal instances of seasickness, for longer days at sea customers may choose to take steps to minimise the risk by using sea-bands/ travel bands (£8 from Boots/ £6 from Amazon), Stugeron, Kwells, or some other form of motion nausea deterrent. Some customers speak highly of Scopoderm travel sickness patches – available over the counter without a prescription at pharmacies – approx £9.

We may be able to provide rental camping kits.

Luggage and equipment will be carried in a dry locker space and requires to fit through the locker access doorway sized 540mm x 820mm. Unless agreed otherwise in writing all luggage and equipment including camera equipment is carried at owners’ own risk.

Pets are not permitted on our boat trips.

Please note that on the detailed information page for each tour we have indicated minimum age requirement. The minimum age has been set by us based on our experience in operating boat trips and in the interests of safety for the young person and enjoyment of other passengers.
